I often amplify my photography and design with words, drawing on universal writing skills sharpened over 23 years of written journalism and 13 years of screenwriting. My texts don’t just tell a convincing story; they help sell products, services and brands.
When I art direct and design, I copyfit in real-time, give clear names to website navigation elements, write catchy slogans and persuade with understandable prose. As a programmer, I include extensive, detailed documentation.
I design with a purpose, so I consider it important to place myself in the position of the end-user. I read all text that goes with my design. I edit my own texts and suggest corrections if I am not the author. I write equally well in English, French and Russian, so I can work on multilingual projects without a translator nor an LLM.

Sometimes marketers force copywriters to lie. I prefer to subordinate text to my ideals of honesty and conscience. I advise such clients with my experience in marketing: in the long run, lies tend to offend and repel customers.
