As a still photographer, I redirect the power of reality to communicate the unique beauty and identity of what makes you authentic and unique. My tools: primal color, constructed minimalism, emotional aesthetics, sprezzatura elegance, and Swiss precision. Why no mention of fancy camera gear? Because I can work with your iPhone. And got published on front covers using a plastic Olympus µ-II pocket camera loaded with pro slide film.

I strive to reveal the intrinsic beauty in every subject, however unglamorous. My images are designed to impress, sell, and inform, cutting through information overload to provoke strong feelings and thoughts.

PHOTOGRAPHY: ART OR BUSINESS? BOTH.

With an early foundation in painting, I consider each photograph a work of art. Since my first publication at age 17 in 1997, I’ve accumulated diverse experience with clients worldwide.

I work on location, prefer available light, and favor a fast and light approach, often with a small, efficient production team to keep costs down. These methods allow me to deeply comprehend each project: I cycle through the thinking (and looking) of the public, the end client, the art director, designer, writer, and back to photographer. My background includes one of the best business schools in the EU (ESCP Europe) and internships at Magnum (yes, I got to meet Henri Cartier-Bresson and a bunch of other seemingly mythical, but in reality, humble and down-to-earth photographers), Sipa, Getty… I worked as an image selector (editor) at Gamma — all reinforcing a solid understanding of concrete business challenges an image can solve.

And in today’s world overflowing with vanilla shots and look-alike locations — because everyone’s life is suddenly a curated feed — I provide something real, something that embodies your brand, your people, your project. By creating unique images filtered through 28 years of interaction with humans all over the world, I help clients achieve distinction that LLMs or stock photography will never provide. Your brand’s identity and message are one-of-a-kind, even if you sell generic paracetamol — I show the people behind the box, their conviction, values, commitment and passion.

For instance, when Asics launched a new line of sportswear, they sought photographs that authentically represented their brand. They trusted me to mingle with their sponsored athletes in France, and my images of their daily speed work on the track convinced the managers and resonated with their target audience. No artifice, available light, natural laughter.
