The castle at Morges, canton Vaud, Switzerland, on the northern bank of Lake Geneva, was begun in 1283 by Amedeo V to protect Savoy from attacks by the Bishopric of Lausanne. In 1536 it became a residence for the Bernese Bailiffs, and in 1798 it was used by the canton of Vaud as an arsenal. It now serves as a military museum with weapons, uniforms and toy soldiers.
